DBAP flap in situ
Plastic surgery (Microsurgery) illustration for a research publication on the DBAP flap. Art by Dr Ciléin Kearns (artibiotics).

Groin lymph node anatomy
Lymphatic drainage of the genital tissues
Bronchoscope in situ
Bronchoscope illustration for Carl Reiner demonstrating their anaesthetic bronchoscope in situ.
Rescue ASDH Trial wings
Neurosurgery illustrated summary of a research trial examining acute subdural haemorrhage. In cases where the optimal management was unclear; patients were assigned to either have the bone flap left out for a delayed reconstruction, or have it replaced during decompression surgery.
Brain herniation animation
Coronal brain slice showing brain herniation secondary to subdural haemorrhage (SDH). This illustration was for a video by Brainbook exploring SDH. I illustrated the skull in situ to give a clearer context to the brain slice, and animated to show the compressive changes more clearly.
Acute subdural haemorrhage (ASDH)
ASDH with midline shift of the brain from mass effect of an intracranial bleed. I designed this animated illustration for a neurosurgical case video by Brainbook which explored the pathology and its management through craniectomy decompression.
Brain aneurysm clipping
Neurosurgery sequence of brain aneurysm clipping, created for a Brainbook video and illustrated article exploring brain aneurysm pathology and neurosurgical management.
Sagittal head anatomy
An illustration for an eBook on cleft palate. This image was designed to break down oropharyngeal anatomy to give context for the pathology and surgical material that followed.
Brain aneurysm coiling sequence
An illustrated surgical sequence explaining how coiling can be used to seal off a brain aneurysm. I created this for Brainbook, for a video and illustrated article exploring the pathology and neurosurgical management of brain aneurysms.
Paediatric ENT surgical illustration showing a myringotomy, piercing the eardrum to decompress otitis media (glue ear). I designed this as part of a teaching series showing myringotomy followed by grommet insertion to allow continued drainage of middle ear constituents.
Interdigitating Y flaps for reconstruction of transverse vaginal septae
Surgical illustration describing the interdigitating Y flaps technique of reconstructing of transverse vaginal septae. I designed this art for a joint Plastics and Gynaecology research paper which introduced this reconstructive technique.
