The 6 stages of writing

This one was inspired by a few months of writing essays and research papers during medical school.

I used to hate writing long form and think I gravitated towards visual art and science subjects partly to avoid writing waffle that wasted the reader’s life to hit a word count. Don’t even get me started on using technical jargon to sound fancy… I need to have a rant about the barriers of medical lingo at some point...

However, my attitude to writing has really changed over the years. Writing in my own voice about subjects I care about can be amazing. Finding a personal angle on a subject helps get me fired up and find more interesting ways to share information. I have a similar approach to medical illustration now that I think about it…
